Amazon product launches require coordinated commercial and operational decisions. A new SKU can increase revenue while consuming stock, creative capacity and advertising budget that previously supported stronger products. Define what the launch should add to the portfolio before setting a media target.

The 60-day structure below is a planning suggestion. It is not a special Amazon ranking window or a promise that a product will reach a particular position.

Set four readiness gates

Confirm product accuracy, content completeness, available stock and measurement readiness. Each gate needs an owner and evidence. An attractive product page cannot compensate for an unresolved compatibility claim or inventory that will arrive too late.

Planning phase Main decision
Before launch Are product, contribution and stock ready?
Days 1–14 Does delivery and purchase behaviour match the basic assumptions?
Days 15–30 Which traffic and content questions deserve focused tests?
Days 31–60 Should the product scale, change or remain limited?

The timing should adapt to sales volume and replenishment cycles. A low-volume launch may need longer observation; a material operational problem needs immediate action.

Calculate the learning budget

Budget for creative work, product samples and operational effort separately. Set the maximum amount you are willing to spend to answer the initial question. Do not redefine success after seeing the result.

Protect the interpretation

Track changes in price, stock, offer position, content and campaign structure. If all change simultaneously, a sales increase cannot reliably identify the cause. Where eligible, use content experiments for a specific product-page hypothesis.

Vine may be relevant for eligible products, but neither review timing nor positive sentiment is guaranteed. Resolve known product and instruction problems before using feedback programmes.

Review the portfolio effect

A new product selling 100 units while an existing product loses 80 units raises a cannibalisation question. It does not prove causality. Compare contribution, customer need, seasonality and availability before celebrating the new SKU in isolation.

Scaling should depend on economics and reliable replenishment as well as sales. Record the conditions for increasing spend, changing the proposition or stopping the test. A documented decision is more valuable than extending an inconclusive launch indefinitely.

For established brands, temoa coordinates strategy, content, PPC and inventory. Discuss your next launch in the context of the existing assortment.
